Welcome to yet another Thoughts and Ponders.

<BR>

<BR>

Can you believe it’s already bowl season?

<BR>

<BR>

What are we going to do with ourselves this Saturday with no football on?

<BR>

<BR>

Florida vs. Oklahoma.  That sounds right for the national title.

<BR>

<BR>

They still need a playoff system.  I read somewhere and they had a 16 team playoff system.  11 conference champions and 5 at large.  Why not?  All the other teams could have their small bowls and then the big bowls can have like the Elite 8 and national semi finals and then the finals.  I think that would work.  Maybe it would extend the college another week but what’s the big deal?

<BR>

<BR>

Going back to the last point about extending the college football season.  I think it’s a good thing.  I was watching a NFL game this weekend and I heard them talking about keeping rookies focused for the next few weeks.  I thought about it for a second and realized that these rookies are used to their season being done by this time.  I could see how they would lose focus.  But if we extend the college season and make it into a playoff season you would just be making these kids more ready to play in the NFL.  It’s a win-win situation baby!

<BR>

<BR>

Who gets the Heisman?

<BR>

<BR>

Well at least one good thing came out this week for Texas...Colt is coming back for his senior season.

<BR>

<BR>

I think all the quarterbacks should come back for at least another year.

<BR>

<BR>

Tebow should come back for sure.  Get his quarterback skills a little more developed and why wouldn’t he want to come back?  He’s God at Florida.  Like Leinart was at USC.  Why would you want to leave that?  Take a dancing class!

<BR>

<BR>

There are some good bowl games this year.  And then there are some that suck big hairy coconuts.

<BR>

<BR>

The bowl edition of thoughts and ponders will be coming out next week.  Just thought I would let you all know.

<BR>

<BR>

Hey Jersey...your Giants looked human finally.  Do you think there was a bit of distraction at Giants camp this week?  Maybe just a little.

<BR>

<BR>

Hey Fat Man, what’s up you 49ers butt?  Two in a row?  And the Jets?  Don’t you wish you could go back in the season and just of grabbed another victory or two and you and the Cards would be battling for the NFC West title.  Oh well, should of’s and would of’s.  Hey there is always next year....just don’t be like the Raiders, they’ve been saying that for about the past 8 or 9 years.  Actually do something next year.

<BR>

<BR>

Can the Saints run the table and make the playoffs?

<BR>

<BR>

I thought the Buccs had a good defense?

<BR>

<BR>

The AFC East is up for grabs.  Jets are struggling, the Pats are inconsistent and the Dolphins beat who they are supposed to beat but struggle against the top tier teams...so who gets the title?  I’m a Dolphins fan but I think you gotta go with the Jets because they have a quarterback who knows how to win.

<BR>

<BR>

Think the Packers are kicking themselves for giving Favre up?  Maybe not but you know the fans aren’t too happy about it.

<BR>

<BR>

Will the Lions win a game this year?  Give them a call, they might let you suit up this week....couldn’t hurt.

<BR>

<BR>

Weren’t the Browns supposed to be good this year?

<BR>

<BR>

Hey if anybody has connections to any bowl games this year, the Doctor would love to get some tickets.  If they are on the West Coast, those would be greatly appreciated but I won’t turn down free tickets to some games in Florida.

<BR>

<BR>

Now to a little basketball.  How good is Lebron James?  He is wicked good.

<BR>

<BR>

Jersey, you like that wicked comment?

<BR>

<BR>

Did you see Kevin Garnett make his teammate Glen Davis cry this past week on the bench? Nice KG!

<BR>

<BR>

North Carolina is playing amazing ball right now and Hansbourgh isn’t 100%....scary.

<BR>

<BR>

Sabbathia to the Yankees.  A little baseball for you too.  The Doctor does it all for his fans!

<BR>

<BR>

Picks of the Week: Call it 3 C’s and a P.  What the hell is the doctor talking about?  It’s late, my mind comes up with this random crap.  Sorry, sometimes it’s a gift and other times (like this time) it just pisses people off.  Colts -9.5 (First half), Chargers OVER 45, Cards -3 and Pats -7.

<BR>

<BR>

Well folks, enjoy you football this weekend.  Next week will be the bowl edition of Thoughts and Ponders.  It will cover most of the bowls minus probably the big bowls.  I will cover them on their own Thoughts and Ponders.  Yeah, they are that special.  This is the Doctor, signing out.
